Quote: The search function on the CD is nice and i usually prefer things electronic but a service manual is just something i would rather have in print and with me in the garage. I agree, but I.definitely. don't want to have to fire up a Windows virtual machine just to use a glorified service manual. At the very least I want to be able to generate PDFs of the relevant sections that I can be certain will print out nicely to take to the garage and scribble notes on as I work. Is that doable with this product? Also, does it have comprehensive coverage of all the models & trims?

For example, if it doesn't include the engine & body service details for a Summit EcoDiesel it would just be a waste of money for me. I have considered purchasing this, but I thought I saw that it does not work correctly unless you very specifically use Internet Explorer on Windows (i.e.

It uses horrible systems like ActiveX). Is that the case? I agree, but I.definitely.

Tips: You can use block to turn your character and to protect your back. Beginners guide for sas.

I have windows 10 and it doesn't work with the Edge browser it needs to be internet explorer, which is also include in windows 10 just have to point it in the right direction.

It does have break downs of all the engines including the diesel. It makes you choose your engine type first thing.

You can also print the pages you want to take to the garage but I still would prefer to have the whole thing in a book. I didn't see anyway to save the pages as a pdf.

It runs off the DVD so its spinning up every so often to load data. Kind of an archaic interface but it works. Feels like it was something created in the 1990s but the data is there. It does have break downs of all the engines including the diesel. Well, that's definitely a bad news/good news mix there. At least the info seems to be there. I'm still wondering about how comprehensive it is. If you have the time, would you mind checking to see if, say, the manual lists the requisite torque for the engine timing chain cover bolts on the diesel engine?

That's the kind of info I would be hoping to get if I decide to buy it. As for the DVD inconvenience, you could always image the DVD onto your hard drive and mount the resulting ISO file when you want to access the manual so there would be no need to have the disc on hand. It would also be faster to access pages in the manual too, due to no need for it to spin up (i.e. Because it would all be a file on your hard drive instead of a disc). You can 'print' pages from IE on Windows as PDF's using something like CutePDF, though if the FCA dev team made dubious decisions like requiring Internet Explorer/ActiveX for anything anytime after the year 2003, the resulting printed output might look like crap no matter what you do.

Regardless, something like CutePDF is great software to install if you use Windows. Well, that's definitely a bad news/good news mix there. At least the info seems to be there. It does have fairly inclusive torque tables here is a sample table there are several of them this one is front engine. Its for the 2014 but I imagine 2015 is the same FRONT ENGINE DESCRIPTIONS Nm In.
